About Sandeep Shah
Sandeep Shah was born and raised in Houston. He completed undergraduate studies at the University of Houston, graduating summa cum laude with degrees in Political Science and Biology. Sandeep attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch, graduating with honors in 2001. He completed a Radiology residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Sandeep and his family have lived in Austin, Texas since June 2007.
Sandeep began investing in real estate in 2012 and steadily progressed from single family residences to multifamily properties. Since 2013, he has formed and managed numerous entities of increasing sophistication, all established to invest in real estate projects. Sandeep’s first fund, Vitae Real Estate Holdings, LP, matured in 2018, with over 30% ROI to his investors. Sandeep’s second fund, Vitae Real Estate Holdings II, LLC, matured in 2017, with over 40% ROI to his investors.
Sandeep formed Vitae Capital, LLC in 2019, a fund which allowed the opportunity for members to be involved in an array of real estate projects in Texas, all through this one investment vehicle. Vitae Capital II, LLC was formed in April 2020. Vitae Capital III-A, LLC and Vitae Capital III-Q, LLC, started in September 2021, constituted Vitae Capital’s largest capital raises to date.
Sandeep’s leadership positions in the medical field have included Chief of Staff of Ascension Seton Northwest hospital, Chief of Radiology at Ascension Seton Northwest hospital, Chief of the Austin Radiological Association (ARA) San Marcos office, and Chief of the ARA Body Imaging section. Sandeep has been honored with the Seton Northwest Physician of the Year award. Sandeep has also served as president of his Homeowners Association.
Sandeep’s greatest loves are his wife Maneesha and their daughters, Sofie and Ria (who love Austin!). Sandeep and Maneesha met in college and have been married since 1999. The four have traveled the country and the world, mostly with a penchant for outdoors exploration.
Sandeep is an avid endurance athlete, having completed three Ironman races, two 100-mile mountain runs, and numerous “shorter” distances. A lover of all things outdoors, he trades between snowboarding in the winter and wakeboarding in the summer (and sometimes the winter!). In his spare time, he also writes, and has completed three books, one of which has been published.
Vitae Capital occupies a niche space in real estate investing, focusing primarily on Class A/B new developments, mostly residential, in Texas. The reputation of Vitae Capital continues to grow, leading to partnerships with numerous highly respected developers throughout the state. Vitae Capital is Sandeep’s principle investment focus, and he intends to continue its trajectory. With growth fueled primarily through word-of-mouth, the Vitae group’s investor base now consists of 220 members in 24 states!
